Online Counselling for Anxiety, Depression and Low Mood

A supportive place to understand persistent worry, low mood, emotional overwhelm and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

When worry or low mood begins to take over

Anxiety and depression can appear in many different ways. You may feel constantly on edge, caught in repetitive thoughts, unable to relax, disconnected from other people, low in energy, or unsure why life has begun to feel so difficult.

Sometimes there is a clear event behind these feelings. At other times, the reasons are harder to identify. Counselling provides time to slow down, put your experience into words and begin understanding what may be happening beneath the surface.

You may be experiencing

  • Persistent anxiety or excessive worry
  • Low mood, sadness or emotional numbness
  • Feeling overwhelmed, lost or stuck
  • Low self-esteem and harsh self-criticism
  • Loss of confidence, motivation or direction
  • Loneliness, emptiness or a lack of purpose
  • Relationship difficulties or withdrawal from others
  • The lasting impact of childhood or family experiences

Understanding your individual experience

I do not assume that the same approach will suit everyone. My work is grounded in person-centred and psychodynamic principles and shaped around the individual. Together, we may look at present pressures, earlier experiences, relationships, repeated patterns and the way you relate to yourself.

The aim is not to tell you what to think or which path to take. It is to create the conditions in which you can understand yourself more clearly, recognise your strengths and make choices that feel more genuinely your own.

You do not have to wait for a crisis

Counselling can be valuable before difficulties become overwhelming. You may simply know that something needs attention, even if you cannot yet explain it clearly. The first step can be a conversation rather than a commitment.

If you are in immediate danger or believe you may harm yourself or another person, contact your local emergency or crisis service. This website and email contact are not suitable for urgent support.
